Yesterday was the last day for one of our supporting staff. She is transferred to Sayy Hasan. A reliable person, especially when printing PTEB's materials. We are going to miss her.

Excellent food in terms of food and choice, good service and peaceful environment. It is located at the ground floor of the service apartment in Gadong, behind the buildings of Sim Kim Huat and Leong's Camera. WafiyM, thanks about the info :)

#356 : Burmese Dried Prawn Sambal ~ Balachaung : recipe#218

Ingredients:

1/2 cup dried prawns
sunflower oil
1 tsp sesame oil
1 large spanish onion sliced thinly ; you can use shallots too
4 cloves garlic, sliced thinly
1 marble-sized shrimp paste, toasted
2 tbsp vinegar
3 tsp dried chilli paste
a pinch of tumeric powder
sugar to taste

Method:
1. Soak dried prawns in hot water for 5 minutes. Drain and blend.

2. Heat the oils in wok fry the sliced garlic and shallots separately until crisp. Remove and drain on paper towels.

3. In the remaining oil, fry the dried prawn floss.

4. Mix together: the toasted shrimp paste, vinegar ,chilli paste and tumeric powder. Add to the prawn in the wok. Season with salt and sugar.

5. Fry, stirring constantly, until mixture is aromatic and dry. Cool completely before mixing in the garlic and shallot crisps.

#352 Arte Y Pico Award

As usual juggling between work and family is not easy. However, the Award from CiliQueen makes my day. Thank you very much. CiliQueen is a very creative writer whose blog is a must visit for me every day. I have not met her in person, but through her blog I know she is a fun-loving and sincere person. This is the first time I received such award so thank you very much CILIQUEEN.

5. adidarwish : The love of my life. He started blogging end of 2006 after a few months I started mine. He used to blog about his running, but since his injury, his blog theme changes to cycling, school and photography.

I have chosen these bloggers because of their long-term commitment in writing and sharing their stories and interests with the rest of the world . CONGRATULATIONS!!!! *CLAP CLAP*

#348 : Welcoming PTEB new acting Principal

PTEB's new principal had reported for duty on Wednesday 6th August 2008. A special assembly was scheduled at the MPH especially for her. Coincidently, the new principal is also Mrs Lim. Welcome to PTEB Mrs Lim , hope you will enjoy administering this college. I am now wondering what to call her... should I called her the new Mrs Lim? Mrs Lim #2 ? young Mrs Lim? or ruling Mrs Lim?....LOL..
